My journey began in 2008, during my sophomore year at university, and has since been an adventure of lifelong learning. I've had the privilege of guiding over 1,500 students from around the globe, helping them master Mandarin while continuously expanding my own horizons through the rich cultural exchanges we share. Teaching Chinese is not just my career; it's a passion that allows me to learn as much from my students as they learn from me. Hello, my name is Kira. I am your Chinese language teacher! I am passionate about teaching natural, correct Chinese with beautiful, accurate pronunciation. Hundreds of students enjoy our courses monthly, and thousands have benefitted from our short video lessons on social media! I train my students to sound natural, confident, and fluent. What can you expect each week?

Weekly Video Lessons: 

Watch three video lessons at your convenience, scheduled from Monday to Wednesday each week. These lessons introduce new vocabulary, grammar, and listening skills through practical dialogues.

Assignments: 

After each video lesson, please complete and submit your assignment. Our teacher will provide personalized, detailed feedback to help you improve your skills and make progress!

Quizzes and Flashcards:

Engage with interactive quizzes and use flashcards to reinforce learning and test your understanding of the material.

Live Practice Sessions: 

Join two live Zoom sessions weekly, in small groups up to 8 students, to practice what you've learned and apply it to real-life scenarios.

Flexible Scheduling: 

The time for Live lessons will be picked at convenient times that work best for each group of students, considering different time zones to ensure everyone can join and participate comfortably.

  • Will I be able to work on my speaking and writing skills?

    Absolutely! Each lesson includes either written projects or speaking assignments that our teachers will personally review and provide feedback on. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your speaking skills during twice-weekly sessions led by our experienced teachers. These interactive classes are designed to help you practice and improve effectively.

  • How can I join speaking sessions if I live in a different time zone?

    You'll enjoy speaking classes twice a week! With students from all over the world, we offer a variety of time slots to suit everyone's schedule, although all our teachers are based in China and the UK. We carefully select times for each group that are suitable for their specific time zones to ensure that everyone can participate comfortably.

  • What if the time slots don’t work for me at all?

    1. Upgrade to VIP: VIP students have the flexibility to choose their own class times. Consider upgrading your package for this added convenience. 2. Switch to Self-Learning: If live speaking classes aren't possible, you can switch to our self-learning course. While it doesn't include live speaking classes, you can still submit homework! 3. Have a full refund within 3-5 business days. 4. Deposit the money you paid for this course to join the next cohort (new cohort = new time for speaking classes). We launch new cohorts approximately once in 1- 2 months.

  • What happens if I miss my speaking classes session?

    If you miss your speaking class session, you will be provided with the video recording of those lessons, and you’ll be able to catch up on the material you’ve missed. Generally, we don’t recommend skipping classes, as this will slow down your progress.

  • Do I need to have a laptop to study in this course?

    We recommend using a laptop, but a phone would also work.

  • Is there an age limit for this course?

    Unfortunately we cannot accept students under the age of 16.
